The Farmhouse

Set on open farmland in Creswick, The Farmhouse is a grand, contemporary residence grounded by a garden designed to feel both abundant and deeply connected to its rural setting. The scale of the landscape called for planting that could hold its own against the architecture and horizon alike — sweeping drifts of flowering perennials, seasonal blooms, and ornamental grasses that move with the wind and soften the modern lines of the home.

At its heart lies an expansive kitchen garden, defined by handcrafted posts, traditional pickets, and timber gates, each element made to feel as though it has always belonged to the land. A beautifully detailed potting shed, built by hand, anchors the space — both a working structure and a quiet place of retreat.

This garden was conceived not simply as a setting for the house, but as a living framework for daily life on the land: productive, romantic, and ever-changing with the seasons.
