Every garden begins with a conversation and a considered design. From the first ideas through to the finished garden, I bring design and construction together as one continuous process, remaining closely involved as the garden takes shape.
I work closely with each client and remain hands-on throughout the process, from developing the overall design and overseeing construction through to the planting and finishing details. The result is a garden that feels relaxed, layered and entirely at home in its surroundings, designed to become more beautiful with time.

The Making of a Garden
Projects begin with an initial consultation and site visit. This is where I get to know the property, understand how you want to use the garden and discuss what you would like to achieve.
From there I assess the site and establish the key elements that will shape the design, including the architecture, existing landscape, aspect, levels, access and practical requirements. I then develop the overall garden design, bringing together the structure, materials and planting. Every garden is designed before construction begins, ensuring there is a clear vision for how the landscape will come together.
Once the design is approved, I prepare the documentation and begin the process of bringing the garden to life. Construction is carried out with selected tradespeople and craftspeople, with me remaining closely involved throughout the build. I oversee the work and make decisions on site to ensure the design is carried through into the finished garden.
Planting is an important part of the final stage. I personally oversee the planting and finishing of each garden, selecting and positioning plants to create the layers and combinations that are such an important part of my work.
Where possible, I see each project through from concept to completion. Being involved at every stage allows me to make decisions as the garden takes shape and ensures the design, construction and planting work together as one.
The result is a garden that has been considered as a whole, from its structure and materials through to the smallest planting and finishing details.
