How I Work
I take on a limited number of projects each year to ensure every garden receives the time, care, and attention it deserves. From our initial consultation through design, hands-on construction, and ongoing horticultural care, I’m involved every step of the way — crafting spaces that grow and evolve with you.
The Process

Every garden begins with a thoughtful conversation. I visit your site to assess the existing conditions and hear your vision, lifestyle, and expectations. This relaxed, collaborative meeting is an opportunity to explore ideas and share practical advice tailored specifically to your space.
Following our consultation, I prepare a Design Fee Proposal outlining the project brief, scope of work, and recommended next steps.
A consultation fee of $500 applies. Travel fees may be incurred depending on location.

Concept Design
The concept design captures the overall vision for your garden — its layout, structure, materials, and planting character. Through carefully considered plans and visual references, I communicate how the garden will feel, move, and evolve over time. This stage is fluid and collaborative, refined through your feedback until it feels personal and true to the site.
Design Documentation
Once the concept design is approved, I prepare detailed documentation to guide the construction of your garden. This includes a master plan, planting plan and schedule, lighting and irrigation plan (where applicable), and detailed specifications — ensuring every element can be delivered with confidence and precision.
Design packages start from $8,000.

With years spent constructing gardens myself, I bring a deeply practical, hands-on approach to transforming designs into living spaces.
Once the design documentation is complete, I prepare a project estimate and, if accepted, schedule an approximate construction timeline. I work directly on-site alongside a trusted network of skilled and licensed trades, overseeing every detail to ensure the garden is brought to life exactly as envisioned.
From shaping structure and selecting materials to carefully placing plants and adding finishing touches, I’m involved every step of the way to maintain the integrity and quality of the design.
