In a world that moves quickly, I create gardens designed to be lived in and enjoyed slowly. Spaces shaped with intention, where structure and planting intertwine to create rhythm, character and a quiet sense of romance.
As a Garden Designer, Maker & Garden Writer,
I create timeless gardens designed to feel as though they have always belonged.
Every garden begins with a considered approach to structure, planting and place, bringing together beautiful materials, abundant planting and careful craftsmanship to create landscapes rich in atmosphere and made to be lived in.
Having spent years both designing and building gardens, I understand how every decision, from the first sketch to the final planting, shapes the life of a garden for years to come. This understanding allows me to consider not only how a garden looks when it is finished, but how it will grow, change and mature over time.
Each project is designed with this in mind, creating gardens with enduring structure, generous planting and a sense of ease that becomes more beautiful with every passing season.
The Gardener’s Log
Alongside designing and creating gardens, writing has become an important part of my work.
For over two years, I wrote The Gardener’s Log, my monthly gardening column for Home Beautiful magazine, sharing seasonal reflections, practical advice and the traditions that continue to shape the way we garden today.
Although the column has come to an end, writing remains an important part of what I do. My forthcoming book continues this journey, bringing together the ideas, stories and philosophy that have shaped my gardens and my approach to creating landscapes that grow richer with time.
