field NOTES
Alongside designing and creating gardens, writing has become an essential part of my work.
For many years, I wrote The Gardener's Log, my monthly gardening column for Home Beautiful magazine, sharing seasonal reflections, practical advice and the timeless traditions that continue to inspire the way we garden today.
Although the column has come to an end, writing remains central to my work. My upcoming book continues this journey, bringing together the ideas, stories and philosophy that have shaped both my gardens and the way I see the world around them.

ways to work TOGETHER
My gardens are not about perfection. They are about presence.
They are designed for morning light and slow rituals. For wandering without destination.
For long lunches, bare feet, and changing seasons. For noticing the small, beautiful details.
I believe the most meaningful gardens are the ones that are felt, not just seen.
